Mazagrande’s story starts with a cold coffee drink that originated in Algeria: mazagran. The name stems from the Mazagran fortress, where French soldiers, in the absence of milk, added water to their coffee and drank it cold, to beat the scorching heat. Over time, it developed into a sweetened, lemony drink that became the precursor to our refreshing and crisp Mazagrande.
